Indeed, that is a horrible tragedy both for the infant and the Mother. I read the article and saw that others in your Community are asking for lenience in her case because it was an accident...not intentional.

I've forgotten my keys in the car...purse...valuables...never my baby, though. It seems unreal that a Mother could be so careless.

However, I know what it's like to be running late for work...the "I'm driving with *ass****s...OMG gotta' park, get across the street, get in the hospital, get settled...mostly...just get there on time "syndrome"!

We are creatures of habit. She thought she dropped the baby off at the sitter...got preoccupied with the morning rush or something else....

Down here in Charleston, SC, some years back, a personal friend of the family "accidentally" backed over and killed his little granddaughter. It was awful.

There is not enough money in the world to make me a new Mom again! You couldn't pay me to do it. The world is just too perverse these days. I'm glad my girls are somewhat grown (21 & 22)...which presents a whole nother' set of issues to contend with.
