I must say that whenever I remember this particular story, and the great fodder it was for the Leftist propaganda machines in the mainstream media, I truly begin to wonder if we shouldn't have just left the Iraqi people to be boiled in oil by Saddaam and to spend time in Uday and Qusay's rape rooms. For all the thanks we get, I wonder if Pat Buchanan isn't right about isolationism? Maybe we should have just stayed home, made sure that anyone who attacked American interests got a missle up the rear and dealt with the world as we found it. The shoe thrower might have had a son who lost a soccer game, and had his foot cut off by one of the Hussein boys, or his wife might have been raped if wro... Iraq is no better now than it was before we invaded. Any American who expects a "thank you" not from the Iraqi people should pull his head out from where the sun don't shine. First the US helped Saddam become what he was then they decided they wanted his oil so they decided to eliminate him and blame it on the Al Quaeda movement!! And NOW they complain because they interfered simply for their own interests and don't understand why there is no appreciation!! I reckon that the world would be FAR better off without the US intervention in other countries, by the way, if the US cares so much, why did they support Franco instead of Democracy in Spain for example? Why do they always support dictatorships like Pinochet rather than Democracy? BECAUSE IT IS IN THE US'S INTERESTS AND NOTHING MORE THAN THAT. brightlight4 - Rogue States. Many thanks Zizzy you're welcome. |
