While 100 of millions are happily celebrating the New Years Eve with their loved ones, 100s of innocent Palestinian civilians & Hamas Freedom Fighters have been bombed by F-16s indiscriminately. 1000s of seriously injured Palestinians are desperately waiting for blood, medicine & doctors. 100,000s are trying to find a shelter to hide and protect their loved ones, food to eat and water to drink. More than 2,000,000 are hoping for an end to all misery inflicted on them during the past 60 years. Yet with all those numbers, the headlines of CNN as well as other major media corporations focus on the less than 10 injured Israelis and 2 dead Israelis.

Watching Al-Jazeera and reading online news that you won't find on CNN and Fox News, one will witness a historic moment in which millions of protestors worldwide have decided to speak against the atrocities occurring in the lands of Palestine. Many holding shoes (symbolizes the shoe-thrower Hero of Iraq), many holding signs of "Stop Zionism",

Guess they shouldn't have started the fight.

I think it was started when the Jews were promised a land that wasn't theirs to claim in the first place.

And you don't have fixed ideas Bright? I don't see you changing your mind on anything despite being faced with solid arguments and empirical evidence. And I do believe that the Jewish people have been living in the part of the word for about 4000 years. Oh, and that land was giving to them after WWII by the UN. In 1947, the United Nations approved the partition of Palestine into two states, one Jewish and one Arab. On May 14, 1948 the state of Israel declared independence and this was followed by a war with the surrounding Arab states, which refused to accept the plan.

Exactly, that land belonged to the Palestinians not the Jews. The Jews might have been living in that part of the world for thousands of years but so were the Palestinians. The U.N. took someone else's land and wrongfully gave it to the Jews to fulfill something written in a book.

Tanya they gave a state to Palestine and a State to Israel. And it was the UN that did it. They voted to do it.
