hmmm...this ties in directly with the medical procedures I read about whereby you don't just undergo anesthesia, they actually let you die, and then do what they need to do, pump the blood back in and then revive you. No thanks, not for me!

Once there was the idea of Breathing one's last breath. As we learn more we find the line between life and death becoming less clear.So they thought five minutes was the limit. They also found that this could be extended using cold. I had to get a Heart valve replaced, was iced down and recirculated.Then they had to rearrange the plumbing, I had been under for around 6 hours, the Doctor had trouble restarting the heart. While there was a worry as to if I was coming back , afterwards I made a full recovery.There is more than just a lack or supply of Oxygen involved.
