Sadly the only way to save our nation is to side with the ultra-religious conservatives.

What a conundrum. Damned if we do, double damned if we don't.

I've been fighting this internal struggle for my entire adult life. Do I choose to win the battle (by voting for anti-religion/personal options) and lose the war (by voting for the right wing nutjobs that want to dictate my morality)?

It is hard to find that middle ground. Unfortunately in order to fight the Radical Muslims and their ilk, we must ally ourselves with some of our own right wing religious fundamentalists. The atheists in our midst don't seem to see the coming danger or view it with enough importance! (I don't know if we really need the extremists of any side, but I could be wrong)
