Okay... you do realize, don't you, that "gay" only recently came to mean "homosexual".... Nothing particularly "bizarre" about the "Gay Stories" one.

And yes, in the 1800 people thought heroin was good for you. And yes, that's the same Bayer company that today sells aspirin. Cocaine was also quite a popular stimulant in the 1800s.
