bookchick49 says: As a recovering addict, Eric Clapton did some soul searching and decided to perform his infamous 'Cocaine' tune.... "deciding it can be seen as an anti-drug song." Good luck Eric and GO ROCK 'EM! seeing him live was one of the best live shows i've ever seen- that was about 15 years ago. I bet i'd really really appreciate his music and talent even more now. --- and i'd be bummed if i saw him live and didn't hear 'Cocaine'--it's classic Clapton! I learned yesterday after clipping this that Cocaine was written by J.J. Cale. You can read more and view some videos of Cale and Clapton putting together an album (CD) to be released on Nov 7. I listed to some of the tunes and I'm gonna buy it! Correction: I "listened" to some of the tunes .... sorry 'bout that. sometimes my brain is faster than my fingers. "But further investigation proved … the song, if anything, if it's not even ambivalent, it's an anti-drug song.I'm glad to hear that after performing the song for decades he did a bit of investigation and realized that it's anti-drugs totally.. kinda funny egoldstein...funny is a sorta pathetic type way.. |
