Our current leaders in Australia have also used lies to gain advantage. I believe they hold the people in contempt. They have also used the lies agreed on for the invasion of Iraq. With the coming election they realize their credibility is at rock bottom, so are now negative about the idea of bombing Iran. This is probably another lie which would be changed after the election. We will never know though, as they will be losing.
