It would be a tragedy to see our country continue spiraling downward with more of the same.

But there is a very bright lining on the horizon. Look at the turnout of voters!

People are saying "enough is enough" and are finally taking it upon themselves to DO something about it.

Perhaps we'll gain our country and our dignity back. And maybe get a few of our freedoms back, too!

Hopefully after tomorrow the nightmare will be over with a new sun rising for these once great United States of America. Of this, like so many others, I have hope.

Call me a cockeyed optimist – I think it's a good sign that voters seem to be rejecting the "more of the same" style of campaigning. The more negative McCain goes, the more popular Obama becomes. The more Obama takes the high road by not attacking in response, the more favorably people view him.

Wouldn't it be heavenly to get away from the idea that "you disagree with me, therefore you must be EVIL!!!"?
