Sillysam, you should probably cancel your subscription to Day-Old News (kidding - I'm giving you a hard time) I remember hearing about this in March, and honestly, at the time I was thinking "this has got to be a joke." I noticed that the age has gone down from ten to seven, which could be the case, or could be a Fox News twist to bring the gasp of horror to a record high. Boston’s Children’s Hospital is, in fact, a children's hospital. I live nearby and can verify. I've read several different articles from various sources about this, just for my own personal understanding. Generally, I try and keep an open mind, and honestly, if I were a parent, I couldn't let my child go through... would be a good place to start.... Sorry for the long comment. Got cut off at the last sentence. The age of 7 is too young for a child to make any sort of major decision. From experience (nothing that drastic) I find that what a child wants at that age is not something they would really want later on in life. It's important to listen to a child and take them seriously and help and guide them to get through life and all its complications until they are old enough to make a major decision. Alanocu, I don't know how I missed this one. Yikes. Scary stuff. |
