John. This is, for me, an incredible clip. I have recently finished reading Robert Lanza's Biocentric Theory of the Universe. Peter Jansen's sculptures are Lanza's words made manifest. (see below the quote) he captures sequences of human movements in space and time, in a single frame."To measure anything’s position precisely, at any given instant, is to lock in on one static frame of its motion, as in the frame of a film. Conversely, as soon as you observe a movement, you cannot isolate a frame, because motion is the summation of many frames. Sharpness in one parameter induces blurriness in the other. Imagine that you are watching a film of an archery tournament. An archer sh... Kind of 10 Dimensional, isn't it? The arts are wonderful! So mind and heart opening. Makes the world a little different in a better way and makes me feel better as a human. Merci! |
