The misconceptions that some of you who live in places where you can live your whole life without ever encountering a conservative, about what they are actually like in reality, in the flesh, are really amusing.

I have, several times, had the experience of revealing to someone that I have known for quite some time that I'm politically conservative, with the response being laughter. They think I'm kidding. I don't fit the template they've adopted. This often produces palpable distress. In a few cases conversion and enlightenment has actually resulted.
Being a witness to, and a catalyst in this process is rewarding and very enjoyable.

GD, you're trying to tell me that there are actual Conservatives roaming amongst us...in public...as we speak?
