How's your new kitties doing? You've got quite a zoo, don't ya? Love these cat photos. They are the sweetest animals. The babies are doing fine. Little rascals One of the kittens got ate by a snake. We have one left and it is not allowed outside. Oh, no! I'm so sorry. Do you know what kind of snake it was? No but it left tracks leading into the corn field. We have a lot of squirrels around here and many fields. There are bunches of pecan trees. We have seen snakes before but never had a problem. The kittens both got out when we were carrying in groceries and we didn't know. The one was crying out in the yard and thats when we found the snake tracks but no kitten. It was sad in our house. There was a kitty funeral and we all said good bye. Life goes on... I know how much it hurts. We lost 5 kittens in 4 years. My darling daughter wanted a kitty cat so badly. Poor thing had so much grief to deal with in her early years. The one we have now, adopted us. We've had her 9 1/2 years. We don't know how old she was when she decided we were going to be her new family. All the others were kittens. One was killed by an owl that dropped him. That one broke my heart. We found him, nearly starved to death, in the woods by our house. He, also, was nearly wild. We tamed him. He was a wonderful cat. The look of love in his eyes for me still tears me up. But, you're, right....life goes on. So cute..I love cats I love cats, I still miss my cat Ebony, thats after 10yrs. Cute, cute, if only they would stay kittens! |
