I don't think it's a good idea. These people (above) also put out the warmongering idea that you couldn't even talk to Iran, a rather undiplomatic suggestion and one that encourages conflict rather than resolution of differences.

They also poisoned words against us, as well; implying that desire for nuclear power meant that...(and now that Bush is gone it's hard not to express his idea without laughting...but people took it serious and still push it)....

An equation was made that Iran wanting nuclear power meant that Iran wanted a) nuclear weapons and b) wanted to bomb us with nuclear weapons.

The next step, according to the so-called Bush Doctrine, was that this allegation of them wanting weapons in the future to harm us meant that we could start a preemptive war and go in and harm them. (This is how Israel justifies much of it's military actions).

Prior to this policy attempting to justify killing someone today because you falsely claim he wants to kill you tomorrow, Russia and China had and have thousands of nuclear weapons but we've gone through 60 years of this situation and nobody has started a nuclear war yet.

Why?

Because the retaliation would make starting a nuclear war equal to an act of suidice: sometimes called: MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction).

Iran, I would presume, is also aware of this

Iran is also aware of and abiding by international law, it's signed the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Agreement. It cooperates with IAEA inspectors. It knows this.

It also knows that Israel and India and North Korea have not done any of the above; meaning Iran's aware of U.S. hypocrisy (and past years of U.S. support of dictator Shah Pahlavi)

Only some of the American public is deceived and/or thinks U.S.A. Pharasee prayers, Big Cop lectures & invasions ok
