I am a strong supporter of abortion rights and while this fact does not change my core belief it does make me stop and think more than any anti-abortion argument ever has.

I'm totally against abortion I know many people who have different beliefs than I do and I respect that but this just boosts my side I love music and everything about it without Beethoven many amazing pieces would never have been composed just think who we've lost already that one girls kid may have found a cure for cancer the other womens child he would have stopped 9-11 thinking about all the possibilities of life makes me wonder how people can just end it. again I respect the other sides arguement I just don't think I could ever agree with the end result of that side.

Do the maths, there is bound to be one special and gifted person eventually. Many will have been aborted, many will have been beaten to death by their parents, many will have died in poverty and completely unknown.

With around 20 million dying of hunger every year, it is easy to pick out one poor child that has live and extrapolate.

We might not like abortion but remember less than 5% of the global population will reach 55; 10% will not reach 5.

While it is true that imagining the loss of a genius who affected the world so dramatically should force one to stop and think -- there are two sides to every issue.

The other people who may never have been born could include serial killers, terrorists, religious fanatics who support violence, pedophiles, abusers, etc...

In fact, an argument could be made that unwanted children or children born into circumstances where they cannot receive adequate love and education are statistically more likely to become drains on society than geniuses who lead us forward.

Perhaps this view is too harsh -- but I believe an open minded willingness to consider all sides of an issue is vital to the growth of humanity.
