Micheal Phelps was caught hitting the pot-pipe in South Carolina. At least it wasn't the crack-pipe!

He says he's only 23 and acted in a "youthful way." Perhaps I'm a little cynical in my old age, but I am really sick of people making excuses for their bad behavior!

Micheal Phelps is a hero for young kids ages 8 and above. Memberships to community pools and swim clubs have soared, filled with little tadpoles who see their future dreams through him.

What a shame. What a shame. His mother NEEDS to be ashamed of him.

Mind you, I am not condemning pot smokers of the world. My bad attitude and lack of sensitivity for Phelp's SC experiment with the Purple Sticky Punch comes from years of working with troubled youth who crave positive role models in this world...and can find so few that are worthy.

While I agree that he messed up, there are so many other things going on in the world today that matters a lot more.

While it is a real shame for all the kids that look up to him, maybe it's a great opportunity for parents to reign in their teenagers and have some open dialogue about how the party mentality and drugs can ruin your life and your dreams.
