In a clear and unambiguous attempt to protect the administration from the possibility of being charged with war crimes, Mukasey proclaims that he "can't decide" if waterboarding is torture. What a farce. How utterly transparent. Why is there not more outrage concerning this transparent attempt to abet a criminal administration?

Probably because most Americans see this manufactured outrage for what it is - a political push to discredit an administration that is doing its best to keep America safe. The whole frothing at the mouth attitude of "how dare they" keeps getting more and more hysterical as the mass of Americans come to understand just how little this practice is used and how much its really needed when it is.

And Americans also see that the outrage at the things our enemies do - like bake children or behead people on camera - is non-existent from the same BDS groups. The people outraged at waterboarding don't actually care if our enemies actually murder people. Why? Because George W Bush and Dick Cheney aren't involved in that?

Keeping America safe is the last thing on this Administration's mind - it is committed only to using safety as an excuse for the expansion of corporate plunder of the poorest nations of the world. "Keeping corporate plunderers safe" might express it.

If that is there best, then their are lousy at it. I'll ask the people of NOLA if that worked for them, or maybe the workers at Ground Zero, the veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan, the children without health care....

This is one of those things that is so blatantly obvious that I honestly think anyone that continues to wave the Bush flag is either looking for attention, mentally unbalanced, or just plain locked in a fantasy world. Seriously, I don't mean to be rude CR, but open your eyes for christsake.
