Thank you Tony Snow. Now the world finally knows that it was not Bush who started the way in Iraq. It was those terrorists who were hiding out in the caves of Afghanistan who forced us into invading Iraq on false pretenses. I feel so much better now.

When they weren't hiding out in the caves, they would come down to points of civilization and take a shot a killing some westerners, then scurry back into their caves.

Bush is just the exterminator trying to get some control on the problem before we're all praying to Mecca a couple times each day.

But keep blaming the evil Bush. He's the bad guy!

Right-wing hysteria at its best.

Come on now...you don't really believe that garbage do you?

We are not blaming Bush because he is the bad guy. We are blaming Bush because he is the stupid guy. Or, maybe we are blaming Bush because he is the guy being used by some really smart guys. Or, maybe simply because he is President of the United States, and the proverbial buck stops right on his desk.....even though he won't accept the responsibility, or admit any mistake. Yea.....we do bame Bush!

How's that different from us all praying to God? Besides, people don't pray TO Mecca, they pray in the direction of Mecca... They pray to Allah (Who is God).

And if you don't think Bush is at least part of the problem, then well. there's no help for you

I wouldn't exactly call them "smart".. well, they might be, but in a very sick and amoral way

Schreibe got somewhat close with "we blame Bush because he's the President" - certainly a convenient and cheap excuse.

If all of you stop your nonsensic BS and actually look at what happened - it shouldn't be so hard (even with your level of intelligence) to see what took place and what is taking place.

The war on terror should've been started by Clinton, after numerous attacks abroad and an attack in NY in 1993. He didn't, but he should have. We may have had bases and troops in some of the Middle Eastern countries, but we certainly weren't attacking or fighting anyone there, until they kept repeatedly attacking us. You want to blame Clinton for doing nothing on the subject - that would...

The Clinton critics like to dismiss his administration's efforts to stop bin Laden as a couple of missiles fired at an empty tent. Yet there was no lack of zeal in Clinton's hunt for the Saudi terrorist. In 1998 Clinton signed a secret National Security Decision Directive that authorized an intensive, ongoing campaign to destroy al-Qaida and seize or assassinate bin Laden. Several attempts were made on bin Laden's life, aside from the famous cruise missile launches that summer, which conservatives falsely denounced as an attempt to deflect attention from the Lewinsky scandal.

In 1999, the CIA organized a Pakistani commando unit to enter Afghanistan on a mission to captu...

On Clinton's watch, the CIA and the National Security Council instituted a special al-Qaida unit that thwarted several deadly conspiracies, including a scheme to blow up Los Angeles International Airport on Millennium Eve, and plots to bomb the Holland and Lincoln Tunnels in New York City as well as the United Nations building. Timely American intelligence also prevented a deadly assault on the Israeli embassy in Washington. Meanwhile, the State Department and the CIA neutralized dozens of terrorist cells overseas through quiet prosecutions, extraditions, and executions undertaken by allies from Albania to the Philippines.
A month before Clinton left office -- and nine ...

Good response BobbyRutan!

RS, I expected nothing less from you

Bush fucked up. BIG. Iraq was more or less "settled" and doing a rather good job of keeping Iran in check.. then BUsh & his cronies went in and now everythings a bloody mess (literally)... Iran has NO opposition, and the US cannot afford a war in both Iraq & Iran (and Afghanistan, DPRK, etc)...

So talk all the shit you want, but you are wrong (if you can call everyone an idiot, I can tell you, that you are indeed wrong )

Actually it was on Clinton's "watch" that we let Osama get away. We had several chances to take him out before 9/11 and Clinton literally prevented it from happening. A great deal of the responsibility for 9/11 rests on Clinton's shoulders. If Bush had been in office during that time, the attack on 9/11 never would have happened.

Same old line of crap out of the rightwing nutjobs. I could recite this line in my sleep. Bush unfortunately was in office on 9/11 and it happened on his watch.

The indictment of Clinton by Sean Hannity, Sullivan and other conservatives relies heavily on a fable about attempts by the government of Sudan to "hand over bin Laden to the United States" in 1996. That story, attested by an American businessman who represents Sudanese interests, is designed to expunge the Khartoum regime's many atrocities against its own people as well as its close relationship with Islamist terror organizations. Authoritative reporting in the Washington Post and in "The Age of Sacred Terror" by Daniel ...

BR, All 25 of your clips and 99% of your comments show a complete inability to grasp knowledge outside the realm of disgust for Bush. You really should find some positive interests. The level of attention, emotion, and vitriol you give to the issue of "Bush the Bungler" suggests an enormous issue within yourself.

@theCatWhisperer - what you say about Iraq/Iran formula is certainly plausible, I've heard it before and it does make sense logically to a degree. I still don't agree that I'm wrong... The reason is simple - we didn't fight this war the way wars are fought. That certainly was our mistake. If we did - Iran would've been where it needs to be. Your notion about US not being able to fight is not totally accurate. We certainly have the firepower to fight a lot more than just Iraq/Iran/N.Korea etc. The big question is do we have the will and that's what's been missing so far, which is why we have what we have with Iran. The Iraq deal is different - people are dying because they're killing e...

Willhelm, perhaps you should look in the mirror. You spend more time on this site than I do.

It's laughable that those who attacked Clinton for years with such venom could find the other side overly passionate in their disgust of W.

You have your pet causes too. I won't be so arrogant as to lecture you about what you should do with your free time.
