Andrew Farrell says: Billionaire says that they don't get paid too much, they just shouldn't get paid for failure. What is the definition of "perform"? Look at AIG's former CEO Greenberg statements. He claimed that AIG was great while he ran it; it was after he left that AIG blew up. Everyone now know AIG got into this mess because of Greenberg's years of risky revenue "growth". I would want to see performance perk tied to 10-20 years performance, not quarters, not annual. And what is up with Oracle's Allison performance package? He still gets outrageous stock options and salary so that his interests "aligned" with shareholders (sic). Doesn't people realize he owns a big chunk of Oracle as its founder already? |
