After drafting a will for an elderly client, the lawyer announced a fee of $100.

The client gave the lawyer a $100 bill.

After the client left, the lawyer saw that the client had in fact paid $200, as two of the client's $100 bills had stuck together.

Looking at the $100 overpayment, an ethical question arose in the lawyer's mind: "Do I tell my partner?"

do you think that there should be no military?
I'm not knocking your argument here- I wonder the same thing about wars. I';m just curious to know what the alternative would be, if you were in that position.

the cells are differentiated,(forming hands, having a heartbeat, and a face) by the way, before a person is likely to even know she is pregnant- just for the record.

I understand fully and have heard all the pro-life arguments, but how do people who have that stance, justify war? What makes it okay?
if you were in that position.
In what position? As victim or aggressor? As a victim, I would be at the mercy of the killers. As for being the aggressor, that would never happen. I would rather go to jail, eat out of garbage cans, live on the streets or commit suicide, before I raised a weapon against my fellow man to take his life. Is that what you mean?

The "Pro Life" statement made by Bush followed by war and torture in Gitmo are PERFECT examples of the hypocrisy (sp?) of our politicians these days.

thisname,
Would you come to defense of your fellow man, or your family if they were attacked?

Were you in a position of authority wherein you were responsible for their protection, what would be your plan of action? watch and do nothing? Run and hope the wounded or less able can keep up? try to subdue the assailant?

I think that Bush assumed that his position was to protect our country and the only way he saw to do it ( and many Americans of both parties supported) was to go to war.

Like it or not, the war is happening now. We messed up in Viet Nam because we left without fixing the damage we did. The same thing happened with Germany in WWI, wherein a whole generation of boys grew up sta...

I think that Bush assumed that...
President Bush assumes so many things. But it is one thing to protect yourself, it's another entirely to launch pre-emptive attacks, based on fabricated evidence against innocent nations, as the Nuremberg trials made clear. Especially when it's for geopolitical aspirations of empire and for oil and one day, he'll be held accountable.
Would you come to defense of your fellow man, or your family if they were attacked? Were you in a position of authority wherein you were responsible... what would be your plan of action?
It is of course honourable to protect your fellow man and family, that's a given, and what every leader (a...
