Alberto and the Texas mafia were stains on the American legal system. Mukasey shows that you can actually appoint a conservative AG who supports many conservative positions but has integrity and will not stand for the dangerous politicization of the office.

Not really Mukasey has refused to enforce subpoenas, investigate the department and made a pass on domestic surveillance and torture.
