This points out what I think has been happening since 9/11: Bush's security apparatus has massively expanded its reach in ways very few Americans realize. It doesn't take a John Lennon-like public profile to become a "suspicious person" in the Bush spies' eyes. Common sense has given way to a lust for control and 9/11 offered the ultimate opportunity to start the fascist ascension. I never would have thought this about my own country until a series of events happened to me that showed me what our government was really all about.

Our country is still the greatest considering all facts of life.
Where else will anyone have the freedom to be you?

Nothing to worry about Mr. and Mrs. America- It's not Fascism when WE do it!

It should be recalled beneath the rhetoric that the USA is not a fascist state. Equating negative power attributes of a state with fascism is muddled thinking. Political activism is best served by focusing on the USA as the world's leading neoliberal democracy ( that is, among other things, structured around a military-industrial economic complex).

Yet another hallmark of fascism is corporate involvement in government. We now have corporate lobbies writing legislation that is supposed to regulate the people behind the lobbyists.
