BartendingBear says: Speaks to the mindset of many Palin supporters. It takes a Republican to be a real twit. Being a resident of Pa (unfortunately) I can tell you this is the general mindset of my region. Frankly, I live in a small town, and I have to agree with every word Obama said about clinging to guns and religion. Perhaps we can blame the education system, seeing as most of my neighbors couldn't tell you the difference between the words "close" and "clothes". In later years, Obama will be celebrated for having the balls to make that "clinging to guns and religion" statement. That's the truth that's been needed to be said for decades. Well, We are getting close to my region so I've seen it all before. I hear things like this a lot: "Both of the candidates are such terrible choices" When I ask what is terrible about Obama, no one can give me an answer. Or: Obama will never take this state. When I ask why, I never get an answer to that either. Then, basically, I hear moaning, bitching and whining and issue avoidance. Disgusting. When I ask what is terrible about Obama, no one can give me an answer.Maybe hidden deep within there's a ray of hope here. Making the leap that ethnicity is the issue, perhaps the popular cultural pressure against such prejudice has at least made people uncomfortable with voicing their true feelings. It's a start. Thats a good observation Atl Thanks debby! But I swear sometimes I feel like the kid digging in the manure pile looking for that pony. — Comment removed by clipper — Me too sometimes hunny |
