My brother-in-law lives with me & my wife. He has never really talked much about his Vietnam experiences. Recently he started posting on our family site some of his memories of the war. He is a decorated retired marine and a real war hero. This snippet is just a small sample of the awsome pictures and stories he's posted........Thank You Major Ray

That day I went once again from platoon sergeant to Platoon Commander.  That night, over the Radio at the Company Commanders meeting Lt. Skroch and the Battalion Commander discussed whether to write me up for a Navy Cross Medal, Silver Star or a Combat Commission to 2d Lietenant, they finally agreed on a Combat Promotion to Staff Sergeant and a medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallentry with the Bronze Star Device... </DIV>

Most important, I was allow to stay on as the Platoon Commander until our Colonel could get a new replacement Lieutenant...</DIV>

Years later, I talked with Lt Skroch, then a FBI agent....  He remarked, " ... everytime, I have thoughts of Vietnam, I always remember, your voice on the Radio to me, with all the explosions, and bullets flying,... you were calm, and new exactly what you needed to do"</SPAN></DIV>
