I love Monet! It is kinda like ancient digital with huge pixels. If you get close you can't see anything but a riot of colors ... but when you back away, the subject becomes clear.

This is one reason I really enjoy Monet. Uncorrected, my vision is terrible. Looking at his paintings, it's how I see things when my glasses are off. It's very dreamy and his use of light and shadow really play into how I "understand" what I'm seeing when visually impaired. It is a view of the world we share with all people, but it seems otherworldly when viewed this way. It seems more special to me, knowing that someone can capture my very own vision, literally and figuratively.

I love Monet's paintings ...especially the waterlilies...
