I am clipping this mainly to send to a few of my friends who like to post 8000x4000 (exaggerated) photos in forums and via email. They know how to get the pics of their camera but no clue how to resize them.

too funny and sooo true! My mother emails me her photos and asks me to make them smaller and send 'em back so she can print them! LOL

It works really good. It tried it on three pictures.
and the bytes were remarkably reduced:
281 -> 28,8 KB
305 -> 20,4 KB
953 -> 23,6 KB
