chestnut501 says: Recession in wealthy countries can lead to better health habits, as people spend less on alcohol, tobacco and rich food. WHy don't you share the company name with all of us, and we could all write and encourage them to make it available to us. If they make it.....we will buy it.! What a great idea!! Hmmm, recession as a diet plan, novel idea. Recession in wealthy countries can lead to better health habits,Is this really a wealthy country? Who actually HAS the wealth? I believe this country is 12 trillion dollars in debt. That is $40,000 per citizen. katsteevns, A couple of sub-themes I've noticed in my clips lately have to do with how we should now define the US and the roll that the growing distance between the rich and the poor influence that definition. I think we are seeing a total breakdown in communication between the two, and I don't think we have been this divided since the civil war. If you get a chance, check out the clip I did just before this one on the US and child welfare. It's as if there are two different countries sharing the title of the United States. One has no government and is totally dominated by the other. Chestnut- I submitted an article on Digg a month or so ago. Perhaps you've seen it somewhere, but it was in a small paper. It's about a group of wealthy citizens that WANT to be taxed more to help. Now *that* is what being American is about. Helping each other, not creating division, is what we should be doing. It's good to read about the ones that want to give, instead of hot head pundits that in private, are worried that their taxes may help out the needy. (I couldn't help myself...soorrrryyy!)
