If they WERE to make biological weapons out of this, they could even target specific races, leaving everyone else and animals alive. Anyone having some shared genetic marker, be it ethnic, disease related etc could be targeted. I definitely don't trust the DoD to have any altruistic motives or humane intentions for funding this sort of research, that's for sure. Damn...something else for me to worry about now too.
