thinkingblue says: The Fox News or better yet Fox Noise (as Keith Olbermann calls it) is and always has been a joke to me. I use to watch it during the early lead up days to Bush's illegal war against Iraq. Until one day they attempted to demonize Saddam Hussein one step further than they already had with their constant pummeling of HE KILLED HIS OWN PEOPLE http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article1779.htm SADDAM HUSSEIN HAD WMD'S POINTED AT AMERICA and of course, when no weapons were found they bludgeoned their viewers with IT WAS AMERICA'S JOB TO LIBERATE IRAQIS FROM A BRUTAL RULER. But that day when I tuned in (for the last time) and saw a pathetic little dog staggering against a wall and the voiceover said SADDAM HUSSEIN CONDUCTED POISON GAS TESTS ON DOGS... I spoke the word I use frequently when I'm in a state of extreme perplexity... HUH? Let's see now, who was this bit of propaganda directed at? Oh, I know it was for those who don't become alarmed at human beings becoming collateral damage Fox was just one of many other K street projects by the RepubliCON Regeime. They try to get their lies and propaganda out to the people By controling the media. But like all their feeble attempts to control, They instead loose control. You can see that in the programs Fox has. They play to the Religious right in the morning. And then at night They have their X rated cartoons and novelties. Maybe thats what makes them balanced. Holier than thou morning, Satan in the evening. The Devel wears two faces. You know they're biased when they have Roger Ailes, who was a power in the first Bush administration. He was honked off that he didn't get to run MSNBC, so he joined forces with Rupert Murdoch and created the first cable tabloid network. They know what buttons to push with their audience, so that's how they've become number one in the ratings. They've sacrificed their integrity for ad revenues and ratings points. Sad to say that CNN and MSNBC have sort of done the same thing. Pop for cptenaud's comment. All three major cable news services are a joke. But Fox is most certainly the worst of the lot. However, when I see CNN bumping Michael Moore and a discussion of the state of health care in America in order to interview Paris Hilton how can I or anyone else really respect what passes for news and journalism in the country? |
