Finishing the doll:

I've made these for Christmas and made them elf clothes. They're fun, cheap, cute and easy to make and they all turn out with different "personal" faces. They're good fun for kids too. .

I've always been curious about this. So you've made them yourself, Thisname? Do they last for very long?

Yes, mine are about two years old now and they're fine! Just keep them dry. .

Also, another cheap easy way to make dolls, is to use an old nylon stocking, cut off the pantie bit and use a leg and fold it inside itself, so that it isn't transparent anymore, fill it with Styrofoam balls for cheeks, forehead and chin and pull in dimples, eyes etc with a thread. They will last forever and are so cute! Most of mine are Christmas dolls, though I have made a funny caricature of an PM we used to have here. It...

Okay! I of course couldn't off hand find any of the apple dolls, I have SO many boxes I haven't unpacked yet, but at least I found a salt dough witch, the PM, and a Mrs Santa made out of old stockings and a salt dough Santa, too. The cat is salt dough too. All are just made out old scraps, nylons, salt dough and just bits and pieces etc.

Anyway, here's a pic of the real Anker Jørgensen, (an old PM) to compare with. His chubby face is a really good inspiration for Santas, I reckon. I think it must be the wayward hair he used to have. .
