Many people believe trading down is not such a big deal anymore given the recent success of players chosen later in the draft - and no franchise in recent memory has done this more to perfection than the New England Belichiks and their poster boy, Mr. Gisele Bundchen a.k.a Tom Brady (6th round). I suppose the escalation in salaries coupled with economy's squeeze on fans ability to purchase tickets will give NFL owners pause before paying up for top ten talent.
