Compassionate Republicanism. Remember? Can't have any social programs designed to actually "help" people... nooo, that would be socialism! But welfare to wealthy corporations! Now that's pure Reaganomics... you know, the "trickle -down" effect. (And notice the money cut for science, too. Hell we don't need science. We've got faith-based everything, from medicine to creationism.) This is quintessential right wing doctrine. It shouldn't be a surprise, how far backwards our country has gone in just the last eight years. It is clear, and sad, the man places no value on education. And it shows. Clinton did the same with his "Balanced Budget" Bull. People in assisted living - no matter what the age - were only one of the causalities of that lie. Clinton "robbed Peter to pay Paul". The spin doctors sold it, the media ran with it and the public bought it. No matter how it is packaged, it is still an affront to the people that support America and isn't what this country is "suppose to be" about. Politicians consider US, the citizens, a minute detail that matters only at election time. From then on it is only about their personal resume. The little details count.
