masbury says:
The president swears to protect and defend the Constitution; surely that means holding accountable those who systematically and intentionally flaunt its laws.

I'm sorry but I think that your hatred of Mr. Bush clouds your thinking. You must admit that he has kept us safe for 7 years, and had he not instituted your so-called illegal actions, you may not have been here today to spout your hatred.

Kept us safe for the last seven years? That's funny - I thought he served an eight-year term.

9/11 was the second strike on the World Trade Center; the first, you'll recall, was some years earlier and involved a bomb from the same crowd in the parking garage.

When the Bush Admin took office, they ignored intel suggesting the possibility of an air strike, and the precedent of the WTC as an Al Qaeda target. Bush didn't prevent a second strike - it happened on his watch.

By my count, at least 7,000 Americans (3K at the WTC, 4K in Iraq) - and hundreds of thousands of Iraqis - have died because of Bush Administration mistakes.

Johnny, there is a big difference between hating Bush and disagreeing with him. Calling me a Bush-hater is a cheap manipulation designed to impugn my motives and such down arguments rather than engaging facts. Show me one word here that is spoken in hatred.

I'm afraid skipping over the issues and laying-on the personal digs is very much the method of the Republicans' right-wing segment. As in, "He pals around with terrorists."

Masbury you are right ... try and forget and if possible forgive or ignore the ignorant ... it's time we think-alike combine to push for a postmortem on Bush's Administration immediately ... like the magnanimous
Chilean leader Obama too may NOT intervene or intercede, but we bloggers and commentators should commence our thrust for enquiry now itself.
Please take leadership and we will back you.
Do the needful and post the url and we will be there for you and Justice.

@johnny44 even Hitler has his supporters up to this day. We usually just ignore them. You are free to be a war criminal sympathizer, but don't expect the rest of us to go along with you, or even allow you to spout drivel without being challenged.

Hint: get past the simple minded politics of "we are right, and they are wrong" and learn to call a spade a spade. Bush is (allegedly) a war criminal, (that is, until he is tried and convicted)
