Thousands have been murdered on the Mexican/American border - Over 6000. Why is this not in the Mainstream Media?

Because it will hinder the free-trade agreement and big business and Bush is all for the agreement continuing. Therefore, the media, which is simply "big business" squashes the story.

Good question. One wonders why media doesn't report on alot of things. Like the national ID that is being forced on Americans, or gay marriage in California, or reports of labor camps in florida, or the many good things that are actually happening in Iraq.

I have just seen pictures that are of the most disturbing nature imaginable. The brutality occurring on the border is not on the American radar. Why? This is serious. 6000 in the last 2 or 3 years? People, that is not a minor issue. This is a humanitarian crisis ! Most of the stories surrounding the deaths and disappearances are not related to drugs at all and many are Americans. Do we not care about missing or dead Americans. Look at all the time spent on the Natalie Holloway story. It is inexcusable that this story is being ignored !

Also, the Mexican military has made several incursions onto American soil. Are we allowing the Mexican military to do this on their war on the drug cartels? ...

I live in Texas. As far as I know, we are all very aware of this problem down here in the border states. My family would like to visit some of central Mexico, but getting past the border areas is too dangerous, so we don't go, even though we could simply drive. Bandits that carry automatic assault rifles are rampant in the deserts of northern Mexico, I would never risk my family for such a "vacation." These bandits will stop cars right on the highways. I do believe, it the rest of the states in the U. S. that's unaware of this problem.

Yes, in Texas you know not to drive through Mexico. I really thought everyone knew that though. Don't they?

Beheadings? Have you seen this expanding wave? There are photos of SIX human heads rolling on the dance-floor of a night club in a Mexican border town. Did you hear about that in the Texan media? Beheadings are occurring with more regularity throughout these areas. I find it very disturbing that people in America do not want to solve this issue. This is all happening because of our irresponsibility of controlling and securing our border.

Apparently, this should also apply to the Texas town of Laredo.

Decapitation is nothing, I've heard of far worse, so I won't go into detail here.

I never even knew about it until now. I live in Michigan. I was in Texas last year, near Laredo and Brownsville, but I never heard anything like this! I think the vast majority of Americans don't even know, or they are simpily ignoring it.
