10. They do disgusting things with their mouths and then try to give you a kiss.

Conclusion: They're tiny men in little fur coats.

Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.

Cats don't drool either. Dogs (and men) do.

Cats: Urban, can't be herded;
Dogs: Suburban, obedient;
Cats: Touchy-feely, cover their messes;
Dogs: Noses in others' butts, leave messes for others;
Cats: Prefer staying home;
Dogs: Love foreign adventures;
Cats: Left to themselves, keep to themselves;
Dogs: Left to themselves, chew up everything in sight;

@Aribeth - that was a long time ago. My current senior cat just passed his seventeenth adoption anniversary and he's still kittenish.

Cats think outside the box - and if they want to keep their happy home, that better be all they do outside the box!

I had a cat who started drooling as a result of hunger (he had chronic gingivitis and had pain when he ate.) At someone's suggestion, I put him on an all raw meat diet and the drooling stopped completely, and I was able to touch his mouth, something I had not been able to do for years. Unfortunately I had not started the diet soon enough. He had been given cortisone for 3 years and when they start it they tell you it will kill them in a few years but it allows them to eat without pain. I only took him in for the shot when he was in danger of dying from starvation. I know if I had started the diet 3-4 years earlier he would still be alive.

I've live in the same house as a few dogs and a few cats, and was thinking a difference may be, people have dogs as pets, and cats have people as pets.
