Osolage says: So I'm trying to build a case as to whether the Wii is a novelty or legitimate. With this little paragraph, I become suspicious that the Wiimote isn't all that it's cracked up to be. The good thing, though, is it sounds like there are classic control options that we can take advantage of once the novelty of the Wiimote wears off. I think it all depends on how well a game maps to the wiimote. For MK, it's not a great fit, and those uses sound a little gimmicky. For Zelda, the combination of the nunchuck and wiimote is amazing. You can sit comfortably with your hands apart, "drive" with the stick under your left thumb, and aim, point, and swing your sword with the wiimote in your right. It's fantastic. Thanks for the advice Eric. I'm still sitting the fence, though. I'm nearly a die hard Playstation fan. I guess I need to do some more research to see whether there are any more good games coming out for the Wii that will utilize the Wiimote. |
