2. Of course Al Qaeda wants McCain to win. They are hell bent on chaos and conflict and McCain provides the greatest opportunity for policies that will generate conflict. However, David Petraeus, McCains hero has a fairly good understanding of the ways in which to fight the terrorists effectively, so they ought to be careful what they wish for.
3. The best way to fight terrorists is similar to the best way to fight any opposing force. Destroy their supply lines. In the case of terrorists, their chief supply line is sympathetic people and you take that away by generating good will in the Arab world. Obama is likely to be much better at that. Therefor the terrorists, who are not stupid, would rather have a combative president in power.
