If it happened, Obama and/or staff are about the dumbest people ever to reside at 1600 Penn Ave. That said, I tend to beleive it, for that reason alone. You can't fix stupid!

LOL All those foreign countries wanted Obama so badly. Well, now they've got him. First, they mistranslate a word in Russian, then they give Britian a jacked up DVD, now they don't even know who runs France. And, we are trusting these guys to bring peace to the middle east & keep us from going to war with North Korea & at the same time? Wow.

This story is bogus.

Getting your facts from redstate.com is dangerous.

I don't think anyone actually believed it and that was indicated.

yadayadayada....many here seem to rely heavily on mediamatters and huff/post...and they actually do believe everything they read there...talk about dangerous.

I agree with the commenters who think that Obama was just being cozy
with Chirac, and hadn't actually forgotten who the President of France
was.
From one of the source blogs.

Still don't quite get the concept of "facts", do you? Anyway, an absolutely hysterical comment coming from you.

BTW, JK, Did you see my clip on the mice that escaped with bubonic plague in NYC. They must have passed it on to millions of other mice by now.

There’s just one problem: he sent it to the wrong guy. That’s right. Barack Obama sent the letter to the former President of France, not the present President.
What redstate didn't know, or chose not to say in its post:

The Christian Science Monitor said:

With his help we found out that another French newspaper, the New Observer, explained that Obama was merely replying to a Chirac letter who was writing him as the head of his foundation — the Jacques Chirac Foundation for sustainable development and cultural dialogue.

The foundation is promoting access to water and medicines in west Africa, combating deforestation in the Congo Basin, and trying to save dying languages in ...

JK, you really need a remedial lesson on the concept of facts. If the _information_ in the clip is false, then they certainly are not "facts". Perhaps you might say getting information from Red State might be dangerous, but then you stand on pretty shaky legs in that regard when you are the lead practitioner of making ideology, sources, and intellectual outcome dependent on one another.

That is false. Barack Obama was replying to a letter sent to him by Chirac.

Just to explicate on this: When you respond to letters sent to you, you send the reply BACK to the author of the original letter. Example: When my mother sends me an e-mail, I send the reply back to my mother, not to Nicholas Sarkozy.

You're not fooling anyone.
