According to this hard-right Christian publication, Santorum lost because he was not conservative enough.

He's honest
He doesn't care if he gets elected or not
He's Decent

Not the kind of guy Pennsylvania and New Jersy go for.
I predict Santorum's career is not over. He has been shouting a message no one has been talking about. I've heard him compared to Churchill. Incidently, Churchill was also rejected before he came to prominence.

I was going to be a smart-ass and compare Santorum's infamous "man-on-dog" line with something rousing from Churchill. But then I was looking at some of the other quotations attributed to Churchill and I have to say that that guy took some really noxious stands that would probably make Santorum blanch.

(at least, I hope that is the case)

very good jk,
I have no idea what your talking about, but I'm certain it made sense to someone.

Do you believe Santorum was honest?
Do believe he is decent?
Do you believe he stood up for the underprivelaged?
(before you answer that last question you may want to search a recent editorial in the NYT fro some lib (sorry I forget the name) actually admitting Santorum's been treated unfairly.
I think you'll hear from Santorum in the future.

Churchill advocated gas warfare, including against civilians; sterilization of the "feeble-minded"; and letting the "stronger races" (i.e. Europeans) conquer nonwhite races.

Churchill was prescient about the dangers of Nazi Germany, but he also tried to preserve some rather barbarian attitudes of early 20th century Western so-called civilization. To my mind that disqualifies him as a model to emulate.

To answer your questions about Santorum:

1. No. Santorum went back on his promise to end his involvement in the K-street project.

2. It is irrevelevant whether I think Santorum is "decent" or not. I disagr...

(info for #3 comes from the AFL-CIO report card for Santorum, available here). You can confirm his votes on the Washington Post's website

Very good JK, I knew I could count on you. You passed the test. Not with flying colors, but you passed.
It's hard to find the lefty that will disagree on principle without making someone out to be evil.

Willhelm, I am relieved that I have passed your test. Hopefully, with many years of study and practice my comments will be as well-reasoned and measured as yours have been:

It is clear where all the leftists reside when it comes to decency, truth, peace, ethics, and life in general. You are the equivelent of the Jewish appeasers that led their fellow citizens on to the trains to be taken away to crematoriums.[1]
The question you ask is proof-positive you have no moral compass, you offer only equivalence, division, and abstraction. This issue and the wider war on Terrorism is black and whit...

I knew you couldn't manage. Context matters, not to mention the truthfulness of the statements. Further, I am well measured considering the venom that comes my way.
If you had the life I had, I'm sure you would understand more fully the meaning of the word "measured".
Those comments aren't even close to the hateful comments I get, which I do not respond to. I know your not oblivious to all the hate that comes my way, and the ignorance that accompanies it, for a minority view.
But, I can take it. Apperently , you cannot even handle the relatively mild.
