I have an older soldier and he and I, together, are always stirred and can rarely get through the song. I guess it's the ideals, the principles, the honor given to those who went before us...we have a wonderful heritage. We continue to focus on that and are committed to doing our part to carry it to our children and grandchildren.

Most who have served in the US military understand the reaction of these troops and are proud of them and understand why they responded the way they did.
