Farm animals often 'live' under such cruel and inhumane conditions, that it boggles the mind. For all those who care about their plight, here's a way to get smart on the issues. Unfortunately, farm animals are not *cute and cuddly* or good PR material like the koala, the tiger or the chimpanzee, so they are often forgotten and they suffer by the millions. If nothing else, think conscientiously when you shop. Where did those eggs come from? Does the chicken you bought have bruises or broken bones? How was the life of that veal steak, before it became a veal steak? Think and act and shop accordingly. This is about compassion. Please don't forget about these poor animals. And don't buy fur either!! (please) .

You're correct - if people saw the agony of the animals as they're killed, most would give up meat. I always wondered, does the animal's extreme fear do something to their flesh? I wonder if there are chemicals released at time of death that are bad for us?
