How I wish this were more commonly understood! There are no capitalist or socialist societies! Every culture is a mishmash of ingredients that have gotten enshrined into "our way," then assumed to be one or the other and the doctrinal wars begin. The likelihood that a modern society ever evolves into either socialism or capitalism is surely infinitesimally tiny.
