Look, I don't believe this, but if being gay "IS" a sin, then don't you think that God can handle the punishment part of it? Do you really think that his office is so "overwhelmed" with sin to persecute that he has delegated you or anyone like you to solve his problems for him?
I also believe that Christ left us two "general orders" much like the three you learn when you're in the Army.
One of these general orders is : "love your neighbor as you would be loved yourself."
That's a fairly easy to understand order from Christ himself- Even a fundamentalist can get their whole mind around the idea of Love your Neighbor. But no -

You get these freaks in Kansas that applaud the deaths of soldiers because a few kind people want to give gay rights a chance- these kind people are trying to "love thy neighbor", these people are trying to relieve a group of people that are different from themselves of the "oppression" that weighs so heavily on them. These people are obeying the "GOD GIVEN LAW" of "LOVE THY NEIGHBOR." Fundamentalists would have you believe that God can hate anything that he created, Not so! I think, when he sent his son to die for our sins. Would you offer your son's life for anyone you didn't whole heartedly believe in? Sins like oppression and persecution.
I'd be interested in seeing Satan's guest list and seeing who's on it for the eternity portion of the ride, wouldn't you?
