And wasn't it funny at that special dinner that Bush gave for his richest supporters when he joked about not finding WMDs under the rug in the Oval Office?

Can't remember how many of our troops and Iraqi civilians were killed at that point in time, but so what?

It was funny!

patriotism is fine- blind patriotism? is another thing entirely...........there are many policies the U.S. government has that are less than palatable- the idea of patriotism should never be cloaked in a lack of moral judgement, war- etc........imposing our will in other countries- i dunno- i don't feel we should be beating democracy into the heads of anyone- let alone our own citizens - who in blind patriotism are at times left full of fervor - but sadly misinformed

Like how the guy implies only conservatives are patriots willhelms right what's new about that?

"If prosperity lies in innovation then the society that most encourages fragmentation and free thought will be the most productive and successful society. Tell that to George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Bill Clinton (as servant to the Republican Majority), and Ronald Reagan.

What do you believe Wilson, FDR, Mussolini, Stalin, Lenin, Mao, Pol Pot, Bruno, Hitler would have to say about the success of Progressivism over Libertarainism. They would probably say, as I d...

To continue willhelm's thought from Jefferson, with Jefferson's quote, "God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is
lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...
And what country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as
to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century...
