cats are so cool! so smart! so together! Mine amazes me on a regular basis. We also had 2 dogs. Speedy, a 16 year old rat terrior went blind and deaf. She was old, sick etc and we recently had to put her down. When she bacame completely deaf and blind she obviously didn't act the same. Our other dog became aggressive towards Speedy. Speedy was the alpha dog and the other didn't understand. Our cat however did seem to understand. Speedy would be about to bump into something and Lil would brush against Speedy, or stand in her way. When Speedy would accidentally bump agains our other dog it would take offense. When Speedy bumped intop Lilbit he would just shrug it off. These dogs were raised to...

What a sweet story! One of my cats, Spurt (I have 5) is nicknamed the Peacemaker. If two of the other cats get a bit spiffy, she'll instantly get in between and lick whoever is nearest, in the face. She'll keep *washing* until the *washed* one gives up in annoyance and saunters away. Game over. She's the most timid of my cats, yet at the same time, the most brave.

cats are brilliant, very smart, but most ppl give this honor to the dogs exclusively.since i was born i 've been living with cats,&there was a time when 11 cats occupied my house....to thisnamecantbetaken:i have a cat, which is an overgrown grandpa now&hits the lifetime record(25 years old). when i was crying,he would lick my tears, untill i 'd stop.he wouldn't stop, not untill my tears had been washed&went dry.&then again, when i argued&yelled with anger,he would come, climb& bite my lips gently in a manner of gaving me a telling off for yelling&getting mad.in both 2 cases he would stay with me patiently, not making a single move besides these that i described, looking inside my eyes&waiting unti...

when I divorced, I left with my guitar and my cat. We moved into a sad little apt for a while. He knew. He definately understood my state of mind. He was always at my side. He would do the silliest things to make me laugh. He watched me constantly, as if he was looking for signs. He slept, ate, walked, everything with me during that time. A few years later I married the most wonderful woman on the planet. Now he's a traitor. He loves her more than me. But like I said she IS the most wonderful woman on the planet. It just goes to show how smart they really are.

Kudos to Libby. My dogs and cats have tolerated each other with a couple of exceptions my shepard and my husky bonded with my cats. I've had so very many pets over the years, now I am left with one dog, 5 cats and a snake. We have always been a happy family. I could bore you with story after story, but I'll save them.
Cats rule~~~dogs follow. good to see you This Name.
