Everyone is going green. The only barrier is cost. It's typically much more expensive to buy "green" products.

But it is less expensive and more sustainable to purchase fewer new products altogether. Since manufacturing and delivering a new product, whether it be a Prius, a biodegradable shirt, or bio-friendly cabinets requires the consumption of energy and with it Co2 emissions. The term "green consumerism" can be an oxymoron.

Sometimes words like "green" can make us feel better about ourselves, but often fall short of our expectations to help solve important environmental problems. With vigilance, we can discern between those products and choices that are being used by companies to market to us and those that actually make a significant positive impact.

loads of people really do want to do the right thing by the environment and that is what is driving the green craze.
Craze - deranged (of the intellect), foolish enthusiasm, fashion, hobby, fantastically demented, composed if irrational pieces.
