My theory was that if you can't teach it in a day, the students won't know enough to practise it for homework -> debate over the meal table -> to the whole peaceful environment blown apart. The problem is that parents demand it be set, which exonerates the fact that they are late home with take away for dinner. The Japanese have gone from high pressure (with much suiciding ), to reasonable expectations such as "my child is more important to me than their results"; or maybe "my child is worth more alive than dead". |
