doodleicious says: much more at source- i tried to clip with more info about the disparity in portions paid and not paid- it wouldn't clip right.... 39% of ALL income taxes are paid by only 1% of wage earners. 86% of ALL income taxes are paid by the top 25% of income earners. 97% of ALL income taxes are paid by the top 50% of income earners. This is just income taxes. Needless to say the top 50% also pay the most in State Income taxes, sales taxes, property taxes, business taxes. And, if you consider a top Conservative wage earner, then they also pull the most weight in tithes and charitable contributions. What do you do? hey wilhelm....haven't talked to you in awhile- i dunno to tell you the truth- the big tax dilema......i was wondering though could you tell me where you got your numbers on this? thank you....this whole tax breakdown thing has been making me kinda dizzy.to tell you the truth- headachy really......and i really haven't gone as far as getting any real numbers on this yet- too busy just reading all the this's and the that's on the matter- ok man- catch ya later........doodle To balance willhelm's comment, consider this: The wealthiest 1 percent of families owns roughly 34.3% of the nation's net worth, the top 10% of families owns over 71%, and the bottom 40% of the population owns less than 1%. Source Doodleicious, knock yourself out. Believe it, or not, The rich paid even more, by a percentage, after the Bush tax cuts. lol- i am trying to figure this out is all- and find some numbers- ya knoww.....read a lot of articles and heard a lot of rants......just trying to get some numbers and such- lol- have gotten a few.....thanks willhelm-off is search of numbers Dulios, So, you're going to balance out facts from the IRS with a giant pile of bovine scatology? doodleicious, judging by the fact that you question the numbers I provided when they are known by practically everyone who is the slightest bit informed suggests to me that you are only wanting to believe what you want to believe, and that is that "the rich do not pay their fair share. Well, who the HELL do you think pays for EVERY DAMN thing in this country. It certainly is NOT the poor. The rich not only pay their share, they pay yours too. omg ! you're on a rip.....no i was only wondering where u came up with any sort of numbers on the matter was all- i found the same- ones you did actually- when i looked- up till the point you put up the numbers- i hadn't seen any on the matter was all i was saying.....lol- i wasn't questioning them- just trying to find out where you got them so i could go in there for some more back story on the subject- then am i to take it the rich pay your taxes as well? or are you a millionaire? kind of a rude comment to make to someone who is just genuinely curious about the subject of taxes- and just who exactly bears the burden- i didn't question what u said i just wanted to read more about it - and i have now...... but before you get to patting yourself on the back too hard over all the support you've been handing me? gee- i was just going to ask you to step it up a notch...Doodle needs a new bag of rice..... and as for trying to ask you a question? won't be making that mistake again- have a happy life super rich often pay no taxes via sheltering -- poor often pay no taxes because they are, well, destitute-why don't we help the poor out of poverty so they can pay some taxes willhelm? It's why I laugh at this way of categorizing who pays. The middle class gets hurt the most by the tax code as it reduces spending AND savings power. The rich may hate the amount they pay but it hardly affects their lifestyle or their wealth. kind of why i was curious where he got his numbers- a chart compared to what....based on what- i wanted to read more about it.....oh well- I apologize, doodleicious. Truth-seekers are a rare breed around here. If you are in fact a truth-seeker, then you are in the midst of a thousand agenda-drivers. I'm sorry I lumped you in with the rest, but you and I have both been around here long enough to know that insincerity reigns supreme. Thanks for the wake-up call. It won't be the last time I will need it...fair warning. heartily and most happy to accept the apology willhelm-i do appreciate it and the fact that you took the time to make it- i know it is easy to get a bit hot under the collar and defensive- these are serious issues- we are all having to deal with....and yes it was a sincere question- on the numbers- i couldn't see a link reflected with them....and i had tried a couple of times to search for them- at any rate- and it actually took a bit of doing trying to find them last night....i listen to all points of view- it is just my nature to question things- so thanks again for the apology- |
