On one hand, at least Wal Mart is stepping out into the social Web- which is still a very brave move many companies right now are now willing to make. However, as part of the demographic Wal-Mart is likely targeting with this- I will say that Facebook is very different than MySpace. Facebook started out as such an exclusive, personal network that only college buddies were on. Companies in this territory cannot approach the site like a media buy because it will never fit with the community interaction the site's users foster.
