At one place in Australia, most of the local struggling cattlemen will get some but most is going to one site - enough turbines to make it possible to count the years before he has earned a million on the fingers. This has led to large amounts of bad blood and is threatening the wind farm.

Being a born skeptic I have wondered about the downside of this technology.

You can actually buy it today for residential applications. Does anyone out there use wind power?

I'm considering it. Though, not for environmental reasons. I just love the idea of self sufficiency, independence, and good investments. For me, it is just too expensive at this point. I understand it takes about 20 years to recoup initial costs, maintenance and installation.
